Calzone @ Picobello

Image and video hosting by TinyPicCalzone - my favorite!
(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
is an Italian turnover made from pizza dough and stuffed with cheese, ham or salami, vegetables, or a variety of other stuffings. It often contains an egg, the yolk of which should be runny. It is typically served with marinara sauce on the side for dipping, or topped with garlic and parsley infused olive oil. The dough is folded over, sealed on one edge, salted, then fried.
In Italian the word has three syllables, [kal'tsone]. Pronunciations of the word in English vary greatly, with UK: /kæl'tso'ni/ or /kæl'zo'ni/,[2] and US: /kælˈzoʊni/, /kælˈzoʊneɪ/, or /kæl'zo'n/.

Align CenterIt has been over a year since i last dined here..
Back in college, this is one of our favorite hang-out..
Not much have changed in the place though...interiors are still the same.. and of course,
the food still tastes superb!

(one thing i just didn't like, is the correigdor/path going to the resto....it's gloomy, dirty & scary) i hope management of Picobello would do something about this. i would hesitate about bringing some friends over to dine, merely for this reason.(nakaka-turn off kasi, it might give some bad impression to your guest.. nagmumukhang cheap tuloy ang resto)..

But never-the-less, Picobello is still one of the best Italian Resto &
serving the best tasting pizzas in Davao!
